Political Office/Appointment: Former Special Adviser to Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Dr Reuben Abati is a Nigerian born in Abeokuta, a neighbouring state with Lagos. He attended University of Calabar in 1981, winning the vice-chancellors price for overall best student during graduation in 1985. he graduated with first class honours in the Bachelor of theatre Arts. He then proceeded to study for his masters degree in dramatic literature,Theory and Criticism at the University of Ibadan, graduating in 1990 at age 24. Reuben Abati also attended college of Journalism, University of Maryland, college park, United states of America as Hubert H. Humphrey fellow, between 1996.
