Below are list of Nigeria most populous state starting from highest to lowest populated city in the Country.

 NOTE: Over the years there as been dispute between Lagos and Kano has to which is most populated city in Nigeria, most people challenged the last Census of 2006 which favor Kano above Lagos as largest city in Nigeria.

Many criticize the 2006 census figure as highly politicize and not fair enough to say Kano is more populated than Lagos. so by general Opinion I decide to favor Lagos State, the center of excellence, Nigeria city of commerce and trade heartbeat of Nigeria, widely perceived by many Nigerians dwelling in Rural area as a city where dreams come through, where street hustle can bring greatness and our own made in Nigeria "Europe" I decide to list Lagos as most populated  City in Nigeria (dont blame me please, I rep Lagos, REP YOUR CITY IN THE COMMENT BOX BELOW).
