A trained Lawyer by profession, but took up music as a full time job, majoring in classical,Jazz and traditional music genre. He attended the Kings College Lagos and Pacelli school for the Blind.
Cobhams Asuquo is one of the most outstanding and prolific Music producer in Nigeria, working with and Producing several hit songs for top Nigerian Music artist, such as ASA, Bez Idakula,Timi Dakolo,Omawunmi,Waje,Dare art Alade,Rooftop MCs,Djinee,Olu Maintain,Mode 9,Ego,Banky W,the EME Boss among others.
He was head of Audio productions at Question mark entertainment studio, before setting up his own Music recording studio in 2006, called CAMP (Cobhams Asuquo Music Productions)
Cobhams became a household name in Nigeria following the success received by the release of ASA's international debut album in 2007, which he Produce and co-wrote some of its hit tracks such as jailer and fire on the mountain.
His music Productions company, CAMP saddled with the responsibility of discovering and helping African talents in music grow, signed Bez Idakulu,a fast growing alternative soul singer, whose debut album 'Super Sun' was listed in Boston Globe's top ten best "World Music" albums in 2011. Bez unique quality style of Music coupled with great knowledge of Cobhams Asuquo was an instant success in Nigeria and beyond.
He released his much anticipated song as a singer on January 1, 2014,titled 'Ordinary People'. The song enjoyed several air plays across all music stations in Nigeria,his delivery of the song was exceptional and expected from someone with deep knowledge in music.
He has performed in several shows and international event and concert, such as Nigeria Week in Paris,French Cultural Center Concert with Asa and Angelique Kidjo,Harare International Festival of Arts,MTV Base Africa launch in Abuja.
Cobhams Asuquo got married to his wife Ojuolape Veronica on 2nd December 2010 and are both blessed with a son.

Honoured for his “Creativity, Fortitude & Exemplary Leadership In the Music Industry” at LEAP Africa Award 2007.
Hip-hop World Awards(Now The Headies) 2007 and 2008 won Producer of the Year.

One Gospel Awards 2008 for 'Gospel Composer/ Writer of the Year'
The Future Awards 2009 (Producer of the Year).
Though Cobhams is visually challenged, he has achieved a fit in Music production in Nigeria and beyond that many can only dream and wish for, speaking during a BBCNEWS interview section, the gifted Producer spoke on the advantages of being blind. In 2012 he spoke also on the gift of blindness at the TEDxEuston
in a CNN interview here's what he said, “Being blind has played an integral role in forming who I am and I think to some extent is responsible for my optimism; When you feel there’s nothing more to lose — if you want to work towards anything, you probably will want to work towards gaining and I think that’s what being blind has done for me.”
