Genevieve Nnaji is one of Nigeria's top paid and A list actress who has featured in several award winning nollywood films, Genevie was born on 3rd May 1979 in Mbaise, Imo state to Retired bank manager with African Continental Bank (ACB), Mr  Theophilus Nnnaji and Benedatte Nnaji a practicing school teacher.

She had her secondary school education at the famous Methodist Girls College in Yaba, Lagos mainland, and Girls Secondary School, Akwakuma, Owerri, Imo State.  after which she gained Admission to study at University of Lagos in Akoka, Yaba.


She started her acting career at 8 and landed her first acting role in 1998 at the age of 19 in the movie titled: Most Wanted.

 Genevieve aside acting is involved in modelling,Public relations and advert for Top brands in Nigeria such as Etisalat, Omo detergent, and Lux beauty soap among others.

In year 2008, Genevieve launched her own clothing line St. Genevieve, catering for women wears and fashion accessories. 

The actress in 2008 branched into the Nigerian music scene, with the release of her Debut album, which had tracks like "No more crying", the album failed to meet commercial acceptance.

Nnaji is an award recipient from the Nigerian Government, she was honoured in 2011 with Member of the Order of the Federal Republic ,in recognition of her great contribution to the growth of the Nigerian movie industry, largely referred to as Nollywood and has  won Numerous awards.  

She was awarded 2001 by City People for Best Actress of the year, Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005.
