steve Onu and popularly known among fans as Yaw!, Steve Onu(yaw) attended Lagos State University,Ojo where He obtained a diploma in Radio,tv,and film production from the English department and a degree in Theater Arts and majoring in Theater Marketing.

Yaw who handles the popular early morning talk programme Make Una Wake, between 6am to 12noon, on Wazobia fm,Lagos is a actor with over 14yrs experience,having worked with BBC and involved in several soap opera and home videos, popular among which are Twilight Zone, Flatmates,Dear Mother and Fuji House of Commotion.



The popular on Air radio personality admits his major strength is in stage play, with over 50 plays in both Nigeria and the UK and has worked with notable directors like Dr,Ahmed Yerima,Binda Ngazolo,Dr Sola Fosudo.Ben Tomoloju.
Steve Onu a.k.a Yaw, is also a cast of the award winning Pidgin English Radio Drama by the British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC) STORY STORY.
YAW started is radio presenting job at Wazobia Fm in 2007 working as morning on air personality.

Since joining the Nigerian Radio station in 2007, yaw has won 7 awards as best On air personality.
