David Adedeji Adeleke is a Nigerian-American born to a Nigerian father and mother, Mr. Adeleke and Mrs. Adeleke (late).

He attended Oakwood University in the US, studying business administration before relocating to Nigeria, where he studied Business administration at Babcock University in Ogun State, Nigeria.

IN 2001 Davido took the Nigerian music industry by storm, when he released his hit singles track "Dami Duro", which enjoyed great air play on several radio and television stations across Nigeria.

He co-owns HKN music record label Nigeria with his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke.As a music Producer,song writer and recording musician artist,Davido has Produced for several recording artist in Nigeria, they include Sauce kid,Tiwa Salvage,Skales and Naeto C. among others.

2012, Davido released his first studio album work titled: "OMO BABA OLOWO" which had hit tracks like "Dami Duro"  "Overseas" (feat Sina Rambo) "Back When" (feat Naeto C) "Overseas" (feat Sina Rambo),"All of You", "Ekuro",and "Gbon Gbon".

Other released singles by Davido are "Gobe", "One of a Kind", "Skelewu", "Aye", "Tchelete (Goodlife)", "Naughty" and "Owo Ni Koko" off his upcoming album which was slated to be released in the fourth quarter of 2014
2012, Davido signed a mega N30 million deal contract with MTN Nigeria as face of MTN ipulse.
2013 October 23rd, Davido worked with Guinness on World of More project.

He has won several awards such as:
