in 1996, He relocated to Lagos, where he was later to make fame and be on top of his game as a Musician, song writer, music composer and Producer. On coming to Lagos he joined forces with his then friend at Institute of management and Technology, IMT, Enugu, BlackFace (Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo) to form Plantashun Boyz, they were later joined by Faze(Chibuzor Oji) and did quite well working together as a group, expecially at a time Nigrian music was beginning to pay off, where artist started getting some form of recognition.
In 2004, the plantashun Boyz music group went their separte ways and 2face released his debut solo album under Kennis music recording label, which contains hit tracks, African queen. 2Face has since released 6 Music albums since the beginning of his solo career in 2004 till 2014

although the plantashun Boyz (2Face, BlackFace, Faze) later reunited in the year 2007 to release their joint album "Plan B", it did not make commercial success and the group was again disbanded.
2face has worked along side numerous artist since the beginning of his solo musical career,artists like 9ice, R.Kelly,Mary J. Blige,Prince lee,D'banj,P-Square,Sound sultan among others.
His controversial life as father of many kids from close to 5 different ladies cannot be over looked, though he addressed the issues in some interviews saying his kids are blessings to him and he's happy they came to this World through him. on 15th of February, 2012 2Face finally proposed to his long time girl friend of 13 years Annie Macaulay. they both had an elaborate wedding in Dubai and Uyo in Nigeria.
2Face is considered among the most successful recording Nigerian musicians/artists in recent times, having won many deals and endorsements.
