Is a Nigerian Nollywood actress born to the Family of Mr. and Mrs. Oluwashola 

in Lagos February 7th 1978, she had her Primary education at Chrisland School in 

Opebi, Ikeja  Local Government Area of Lagos State between 1981-1987,finished 

Primary education at Oxford Children School in 1987.

Young Omotola Jalade had her secondary school education in Kaduna ,Northern 

State Nigeria at Command Secondary School between 1988 to 1993.

In 2004 Omotola Jalade Ekeinde graduated from Yaba College of Technology where 

she read Estate Management.

Omotola began her acting career in 1995, featuring in Venom of Justice, Also in 

1995 she featured in a movie directed by Reginald Ebere, "Mortal Inheritance", 

where she played a sickle cell patient saddled with the struggles to stay alive 

and succeed against all odds.A movie which won her "The Best Actress in an 

English Speaking Movie" and the "Best Actress Overall" at the 1997 THEMA (The 

Movie Awards). Omotola was the youngest Nigerian actress in that period to be

Omotola, After her exploits in 1995 movie "Mortal inheritance" went on to act in 

major blockbuster Nigerian movies; winning the 2005 African Movie Academy Awards 

Best actress in a supporting role.

Omotola Jalade is among the biggest and most successful actress in Both Nigeria 

and Africa, having starred in Over 300 home videos and movies.

In 2005, Omotola began her music career, releasing her sophomre album; Me, 

Myself and Eyes which was produced by Del'b and Nigerian Music 

sensation,singer,songwriter and producer Paul I.K Dairo. The 2005 album had hit 

songs such as "Naija Lowa" "Feel Alright" The album did not gain the desired 

impression in Nigeria at the time.

Omotola got married to captain Mathew Ekeinde in 1996 and are blessed with 

children; Princess Ekeinde, M.J Ekeinde,Meraiah Ekeinde and Michael Ekeinde
